The best Nalgene bottle out there! does not roll off the cliff when knocked over. Needs new colors and the line needs to be expanded. I would like to see one that glows in the dark!

We’re sorry you’re disappointed. It’s possible you had purchased one at $8 when we were discounting the remaining Tritan last year, however our Oasis bottles have been consistently priced above $12 for quite some time, particularly since transitioning our entire line to Tritan Renew.

Too expensive at $16. They used to be like $8 a year ago. First they disappeared for 2 years, they said it was supply chain issues. Now they restock them at twice the price. Sounds like a little market manipulation….sad.
Anyway, for slightly over what they a charging now you could get a pretty nice brand name stainless steel bottle.

This is the best Nalgene product hands down. Same great narrow mouth for ease of drinking and pouring, no seals to go bad, wide shape is easier to hold, won’t roll if it tips over unlike the round designs, matte texture so it doesn’t look grimy over time, fits into bags better, and extremely durable courtesy of Tritan construction. And all for a reasonable price made in the USA? Basically a perfect waterbottle! Only thing it could potentially use is some graduated markings on the side but that would detract from the minimalist aesthetic.

Best water bottle. Needs to stay stocked and needs more color options. In my opinion they should expand the oasis line instead of the regular cylindrical bottles that roll around.

I bought 4 of these for my wife and I for various outdoor adventures three years ago. We were looking for something that fit the water bottle pockets on packs better than a standard 1L/32 oz bottle.

The pros: they’re lightweight compared to other Nalgene products, fits bottle pockets on packs better than standard bottles, fits in cargo pockets well if needed.

The cons: after 2 years, we had a 50% failure rate. Within 6 months, on bottle cracked at the mouth after being dropped and leaked whenever it wasn’t vertical. The second one developed a small crack in the bottom after being dropped.

Meanwhile, all of our other Nalgene products are running strong, some after nearly 20 years of use. I think if these were built with the same materials (perhaps only difference is thickness), this would be my ideal summer water supply, especially if a 1.5 L version was produced.

These are excellent. The only complaint I’ve seen anywhere is people doubting the durability due to the walls being thinner but I have no doubt these are tough. Nalgene doesn’t make a single bad product and their engineers know how to design something that’ll last. I love the fact that these are lighter than the Tritan bottles were used to too. Also as many have stated these fit in water bottle pockets in most packs better than fat round bottles like every company makes. LOVE that Nalgene believes in making products in USA. These canteens are an absolute win.
